OKAY, anyways, anyone here have any favorite songs? I'm sure you do. Could they work on a piano? Because, you see here, I just happen to know how to play!

I've been in a musical mood lately, and want to learn a cool-sounding song. Any genre, from anywhere, as long as it works and I can find either a tutorial or music sheets online.

There's really no reason for me asking, I'm not doing anything special (_{besides drawing a piano-y drawing on deviantARTmuro}). I just find it so much fun to sit down and play a song and impress the socks off of people.

Also, if you're looking for good tutorials for piano, try PlayPianoKing on YouTube (well, his username is goitans99 or something like that). He's done several popular songs.
Anyone got any other cool pianists who do good covers or tutorials?

Also, what's your favorite instrument? Why?
Mine is pretty obvious. I mean, it has 88 keys, a lot of octaves (I want to say 8 but I'm not sure), a bass AND treble clef, and the simplest of songs sounds impressive on the instrument on general.

Just want to start some sort of discussion~!

P.S. How long do the free journals skins last? Not a premium member. :/

Background-story time!

I hadn't really been that into art for most of my life, but whenever I sketched something in art class at school people would compliment my work. I came across dA a long time before I actually got this account (and before I really knew what deviantART was).

One day I woke up and started this whole sha-bang.

So now, here I am: leaving comments, posting journals, silently correcting everyone's grammar I come across--
Er, what's with that look? Didn't say anything.

So, what do I want to accomplish with this? I'd really like to earn some skill points in digital art. While this process occurs, please pretend that I'm a young child just learning to hold a crayon. Because, frankly, my computerized work sucks.

It's all about learning and experience, though. My stay on this site so far has taught me more about art than I could've possibly known in a lifetime without deviantART's existence.
